Joe Zidle

Joe Zidle is Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Zidle Macro Strategy Group, an independent macroeconomic research and investment strategy firm.

Joe spent nearly eight years as Chief Investment Strategist at Blackstone's Private Wealth Solutions, where he led thematic research, shaped asset allocation thinking, and served as the firm's macro voice to a global client base. Before Blackstone, he was Portfolio Strategist at Richard Bernstein Advisors, embedding top-down macro views directly into actively managed ETF strategies. Earlier, as Head of Investment Strategy for Global Wealth Management and Deputy Director of the Research Investment Committee at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, he built a reputation for clear investment frameworks and for pushing back on consensus thinking inside the committee room.

That instinct traces to his years as a military intelligence specialist in the U.S. Army Reserves (1993–2001), where he was trained to synthesize fragmented information and turn high-level strategic objectives into ground-level decisions. The discipline stuck: evidence first, conviction second.

Joe is a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, and other major financial media outlets. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from Emory University.
