The Estate, Gift, and GST exemption amounts have changed.

 

The IRS has just released revised inflation-adjusted amounts based on chained CPI as directed in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Most numbers remained the same, including all income tax brackets. Here are the changes:

The Estate Tax exemption amount for 2018 is now $11,180,000 per person and $22,360,000 for a couple. The gift tax and GST exemption amounts have also changed to the new $11,180,000 limit.

The HSA contribution limit for Family HDHP (high deductible health plan) under age 55 for 2018 has decreased from $6,900 to $6,850, and for age 55 and over, it has changed to $7,850. The limit for those with Self-Only HDHP coverage remained unchanged at $3,450 or $4,450 for those age 55 and older.
